The Rotary Club of Canberra City and the ACT Department of Education and Training presents the annual CANBERRA CAREERS MARKET on the first Wednesday and Thursday, of August each year at the AIS Indoor Arena.
The Market is open from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm on both days, with an evening session from 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm on Wednesday.

Try'a Trade Back by popular demand! Once again the Canberra Careers Market will play host to the Try'a Trade exhibition. The hands on exhibition allows attendees to meet and talk with experts who are recognised as leaders in their trade as well as apprentices and teachers. Attendees will have the opportunity to get their hands dirty in the different trade displays featuring cabinet making, hospitality, refrigeration, metal fabrication, landscaping and many more. Try'a Trade will operate during the daytime sessions of the Canberra Careers Market and will be located in a purpose constructed marquee at the back of the Marathon room. Small Business and Entrepreneurs Lounge The Small Business and Entrepreneurs Lounge will again offer attendees of the Canberra Careers Market the opportunity to learn more about small business and entrepreneurial activity in the ACT. The lounge will feature high quality presentations and micro group discussions conducted by successful small business owners and entrepreneurs. The Small Business and Entrepreneurs Lounge aims to inspire attendees to explore the many exciting possibilities of the small business sector. In 2008 there were 26 speakers from fields such as real estate, law firms, financial advisors, auto services, retail, marketing, job agencies, computing and IT specialists and many more. Rotary Youth Programme of Enrichment (RYPEN) RYPEN is a Rotary created and sponsored developmental program aimed at Year 9, 10 and Year 11 students aged from 15 to 17 years. It is based on a long-weekend residential camp which is funded by Rotary.
