About Us

The Canberra CareersXpo is an annual event usually conducted on the first Wednesday and Thursday of August each year by the Rotary Club of Canberra City in partnership with the ACT Education Directorate and this year the event falls on the 2nd & 3rd August 2017.

The CareersXpo seeks to provide valuable career guidance and advice on career opportunities available to secondary students throughout the ACT and surrounding NSW schools network.

This CareersXpo is the largest event of its type in the region with over 100 local and national exhibitors, including universities, colleges, and career placement organisations providing a wide range of information.

The Expo will once again showcase a wide range of career pathways that appeal to a diverse population in order to provide a valuable experience for all relevant stakeholders.

Students, parents, teachers, careers advisors and career changers are encouraged to come along and explore, ask questions and gather as much information as possible.

Exhibitors from the Canberra Institute of Technology, the Australian National University, the University of Canberra, as well as other educational providers, training institutions and employers will provide useful and relevant information in an interactive and interesting way.

The Rotary Club of Canberra City is proud to present this vocational and community service program.

Entry is free.

Any surplus proceeds from site fees and sponsorship are applied for the benefit of local youth and vocational projects conducted by the Rotary Club of Canberra City.

Back by popular demand! Once again the Canberra CareersXpo will play host to the Try'aSkill exhibition. The hands on exhibition allows attendees to meet and talk with experts who are recognised as leaders in their trade as well as apprentices and teachers.

WorldSkills Australia’s Try’aSkill is an interactive program that allows visitors to try their hand at various skill and trade areas. The displays are entertaining, informative and offer access to some of the basic skills involved within a range of fields. WSA’s Try’aSkill aims to encourage people to appreciate that skill education and training can offer many viable career choices for the future.

WSA’s Try'aSkill is located in the Budawang Building, adjacent to the main exhibition area, and will operate during the daytime sessions of the Canberra CareersXpo as well as the Wednesday evening session.

If you are a business or organisation interested in showcasing your skill or trade area please email [email protected]
